Hot Dog in a Nutshell!

OK…yesterday was Carnival day for my kids at Sumer Rec. I gave both children 3 dollars to spend on a snack while at the carnival for 3 hours. Guess how each child decided to spend their money.

“Grace…any change?”

“No mom…there’s no change”.

“What did you buy with your 3 dollars?”

“Candy.”

“Just candy and nothing else?”

“Nope…just candy.”

“Michael…do you have any change?”

“No mommy”.

“What did you buy with the money I gave you?”

“A hot dog.”

“A hot dog…what did it cost?”

“I don’t know, 2 dollars or 2 dollars and fifty cents.” ( I went over to the concession stand to see what the hot dog price was…$2.50)

“Really…that means you must have spent the last 50 cents on that ring pop you are eating right now?”

“Yes.”

So Grace spent all her money on candy and Michael spent most of his money on a hot dog…and well there you have it. The two distinct personalities of my two children in the proverbial nutshell!
